MS Honors Classes

MS Honors Powerpoint for students 2018-3.pptx
In the Middle School Redesign plan, Pre-AP strategies and extensions were embedded into the language arts, math, social studies, and science curriculums to increase rigor and challenge. We recognize that there will be students who need additional challenges to reach their potential so we will also be offering MS Honors classes to meet the needs of these students. The curriculum and content of the MS Honors classes will be similar to the regular classes, however the honors classes will move at a faster pace and enrichments will be added.

MS Honors classes in Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies will be an option for seventh and eighth grade students at Kellogg Middle School. The MS Honors classes are an enriched 7th or 8th grade language arts, science, or social studies class. The MS Honors classes are not accelerated high school classes taught at the middle school. Therefore, your student will NOT earn high school credit or a high school grade.

The registration form for MS Honors classes will be available in March. We do our best to accommodate your child's choices and we do our very best to assure that your child gets at least one MS Honors class. We DO NOT guarantee that your child will be enrolled in all of the MS Honors classes that your child requests.
